What courses do we offer?

Q2: What are the fees for each program?

Q3: Is hostel facility available?
A: Yes. Separate hostels for boys and girls with female wardens for girls. Single, double, and triple sharing options. Includes 3 meals + study hall + Wi-Fi. Visit our Facilities page for details.
Q4: What's the medium of instruction?
A: Primarily English. Some courses also offer Telugu medium. Reach out to admissions for course-specific medium availability.
Q5: Do you provide transport?
A: Yes — bus routes covering Vizianagaram and nearby towns. Monthly transport fee depends on the route. Contact admissions for route map and fees.
Q6: Where is the campus located?
A: Pragathi Defence Academy, S.No 34, Ardhannapalem RV, Baligattam Junction, Kothavalasa Mandal, Vizianagaram District – 535183, Andhra Pradesh. We’re easily reachable by road from Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam.
Q7: How do I schedule a campus visit?
A: Call +91 94403 19293 or WhatsApp us — we’ll book a guided tour at your preferred time. Mondays to Saturdays, 9 AM to 5 PM.
Q8: Do you have NCC?
A: Yes, active NCC unit (4 AP Battalion) on campus. Annual Republic Day camp participation. NCC certification adds bonus marks in government job exams.
Q9: How do I apply for the Jagananna Vidya Deevena scholarship?
A: Apply via the AP Government portal. Our admissions office helps with the application process completely free — bring your marksheets and Aadhaar to our office.
Q10: What's your placement record?
A: Polytechnic placements 80%+ in 2025. B.Ed graduates active in AP DSC recruitment. Defence Academy: 120+ defence selections in last 3 years. Physical Education: 75%+ in government PT roles.
Q11: Does the college offer placement support?
Yes, Pragathi College has a placement cell to assist students in securing internships and jobs. It conducts training programs and invites companies for campus placements.
Q12: What's the ragging policy?
A: Zero tolerance. We follow strict UGC norms. UGC anti-ragging helpline: 1800-180-5522. Internal anti-ragging committee active. Visit any institute page for committee details.
Q13: Does Pragathi College offer scholarships?
A: Yes, both government scholarships (Jagananna Vidya Deevena, Vasathi Deevena, post-matric SC/ST/BC, EBC) and Pragathi institutional scholarships (Merit, Defence aspirant, Sports, Sibling discount). See Scholarships page.
Q14: What documents are needed for admission?
A: 10th & 12th marksheets, transfer certificate, conduct certificate, Aadhaar (student + parent), 6 passport photos, caste/income certificate (if applicable).
Q15: Can I apply if I'm from outside Andhra Pradesh?
A: Yes. Most programs accept students from anywhere in India. Hostel facility available for outstation students. Contact admissions for program-specific eligibility.
Q16: What if I have a complaint after joining?
A: We have an internal Grievance Redressal Committee. Submit complaints via the Online Grievance Form on our website, or speak to the Principal’s office directly.
